Meet JENNIFER

Founder, Lead Designer + Mom-Boss

It took several years and some clear signs from the universe for me to pursue my love of floral design and take the plunge into full-time small business ownership. In 2015, while on maternity leave with my first born I had a bit more time to  "play with flowers".  To ignite a passion repressed for years I made weekly trips to a local greenhouse to buy cut flowers, I watched endless tutorials on YouTube, and I filled my small condo's 20 square foot balcony with a raised flower bed and potted plants. 

That year on a whim I agreed to design flowers for a friend's wedding…and it was MAGICAL! Empowered by the success and the support of my family and friends, I took the leap to register the business, enrol in formal accredited training and start my floral design journey!

In 2020 the "Pandemic Pivot" and its supply-chain issues brought my eyes back to my love of flower growing, so I ripped up my lawn and started a backyard micro-flower farm. It's taking some serious effort, and money, but every season my plot gets bigger and nurtures more varieties for my designs from seed (or bulb, tuber, rhizome) to harvest.

Now entering into my tenth year of business, with countless arrangements, weddings, workshops and farmers market appearances as my foundation, The Paisley Rose is my full time passion.  With endless dreams for the future, I can't wait to share my love of flowers with you!

    Hi there I'm Rachael!

    As your Client Care Coordinator, I'm here to keep you organized on your flower-booking journey! I will be popping in throughout our partnership to ask and answer questions, remind you of important dates and be your personal flower-admin cheerleader!

     Although I reside in London, Ontario, I am always close to my computer so should you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to send them my way -- there is truly is no such thing as a silly question!

    I'm your behind-the-scenes flower friend, leading the charge to set up your dream wedding florals—an absolute passion of mine that combines my love for creativity and organization, which, as a veteran event planner and manager, is truly my jam!

    If we don't have the chance to meet in person on your big day, please know how grateful I am to have been part of such a special moment in your lives, and I’m wishing you all the happiness in the world as you begin this beautiful new chapter of your married journey together!

    I'm the owner of Love The Love Weddings and Events and I'm so excited to join The Paisley Rose as chief in-house wedding planner/month-of coordinator! 

    Should you add my services to your order, I'm here to making sure your big day is everything you’ve dreamed of. I love working closely with couples to take the stress out of planning, so you can focus on celebrating your love. My goal is to make you feel supported, excited, and completely at ease every step of the way—I’ve got the details covered!

Our Philosophy

We believe flowers are more than just decor—they’re experiences. Our passion is crafting meaningful, beautifully curated arrangements while prioritizing local, sustainable products.

We proudly support women-owned businesses, female entrepreneurship, and micro flower farming, while advocating for positive mental health care.

Oh, and we do it all with a healthy dose of humour, a few well-placed expletives, and a whole lot of unapologetic feminism. Because beauty should be bold, and so should the people creating it.

Homegrown and RESPONSIBLY Sourced Products

As feminists and advocates for environmental consciousness, we commit to using local and/or responsibly grown varieties in all of our designs.  In the summer months many varieties are harvested from our micro flower farm here in Mississauga. No harmful chemicals are used in the production of these homegrown blooms, and rainwater harvesting is practiced for responsible irrigation.   

In the off-season, and to supplement those larger orders, we primarily order Ontario grown product, or international product from flower farms proven to uphold the highest standards for environmental consciousness and human rights. 

​Every effort is made to avoid using bleached, painted and unnaturally preserved botanicals in our designs.
